SUMMER 2025

The exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Querétaro, Mexico is open until September 14, 2025. If you live in Mexico or are traveling, this is a vibrant museum with excellent curation. There are two parts to the WAYS OF SEEING exhibition. The first is a showing of new work, WHAT ARE YOU EXPERIENCING?, that presents abstract paintings representing the different stages of life. The show asks us to consider the question, are we experiencing life to its fullest considering that life is finite.

The second exhibit, DOING THE WORK, is a survey covering my journey as an artist. Presented are examples of work from series painted over a long career.

THE JOURNAL OF ITALIAN TRANSLATION
The current issue of the Journal includes 7 poems from my latest book, THE ASYMMETRY OF SILENCE. The poems appear in both English and...Italian! The journal is an international format for poetry that is associated with Brooklyn College. Thanks to Michael Palma, associate Editor.
A PERSONAL NOTE
To me, art and politics cannot be separated. The art I make and support embraces progressive values, including diversity, democracy, human rights, and climate change action. I am now living and working in the Bay Area and maintain a studio and presence in Querétaro, Mexico.
